Textures

Textures is a metal band from the Netherlands, formed in 2001. They have released three albums to date. The band plays a complex metal style, closely linked with technical metal (and bands like Meshuggah), featuring elements of death metal and thrash metal; they also incorporate melodic interludes into their songs. On their first release, Polars, they also experimented with ambient soundscapes. However, on their second release the ambience and riffs are fused together more closely, rather than set apart on Polars.

Band Members:
Eric Kalsbeek − Vocals
Jochem Jacobs − Guitar, vocals
Bart Hennephof − Guitar
Remko Tielemans − Bass
Stef Broks − Drums
Richard Rietdijk − Synths

Benea Reach

Started in 2003 by drummer Marco and vocalist Ilkka. After recording their first and only demo in 2004, the band attracted interest from several labels within the scene. This led to the signing with Tabu Recordings (a division of Tuba Records) and the recording of the debut album (Monument Bineothan) in 2005, which was released 2006 in Europe and 2007 in the United States. The band has already made an early statement by receiving a Norwegian Grammy nomination for their debut. Originally a five-piece orchestra that has developed into a musical collective, no longer defined by the number of individuals. This generates various constellations within the concept, evolving the bands vision for sound and dynamics. The constructive core consists of the two founding members and the two guitarists Martin and Håkon, but the live-settings vary from five up to eight members. Benea Reach tend to, in recordings and performances, avoid the common patterns and structures of general settings.

Marco Storm, primary spokesperson for the band, has mentioned in multiple interviews bands such as Meshuggah, Neurosis, and Botch as primary influences for their sound. More specifically the Meshuggah ep None(ep). Which stands out prominently in the band's style. Other influences include My Bloody Valentine, Cult of Luna, and Mastodon.

Band Members:
Ilkka Volume - Vocals
Martin - Guitar
Haakon - Guitar
Mikael Wildén - Bass Guitar
Marco Storm - Drums

Oh, Sleeper

Oh, Sleeper is a Christian Metalcore band from Ft. Worth, Texas signed to Solid State Records. Oh, Sleeper formed in April of 2006 after former members of short-lived rock band Terminal got together with former Between the Buried and Me guitarist Shane Blay. Eventually they found a vocalist in Micah Kinard and began practicing. As the 4 members began sledging through all the normal problems of a band start-up (no place to practice, no money and different schedules) the biggest obstacle was finding the last and final member. Countless awkward auditions still fell short of the missing position, until the thought of long time friend and previous guitar player and band mate of the guys in Terminal, James Erwin. After adding James to the lineup, the band released an EP during this time titled The Armored March, through 1x1 music. The band was discovered and quickly signed with Solid State Records in the Summer of 2007. Since then, the band has been touring and has recently recorded their debut album, “When I Am God,” which was released on October 23, 2007.

Band Members:
Micah Kinard - Vocals
Shane Blay - Guitar/Vocals
James Erwin - Guitar
Lucas Starr - Bass
Ryan Conley - Drums
